How to Use Instagram's New Quiz Stickers in Your Stories

Two years ago Instagram added support for polls within Instagram Stories. Today it took that feature a step further with the introduction of a new “Quiz” feature that allows you to pose multiple choice questions to your friends in your Stories.

(You could already sort of do this with polls, where you offer two options and let your friends vote between them. With this feature, you’d have multiple options to choose from, as well as a correct answer.)

To test the feature out I created this intriguing quiz on whether or not my dog is, in fact, the cutest dog in the world.

The photo on the left is what I saw when I created it, while the photo on the right is what my friends see in my Story.

To create the quiz you press the sticker button (the same one you do to pull up things like gifs and dates) and select “Quiz” from the selections that appear. If you launch Instagram and don’t see the quiz option, make sure you’re currently running the latest version of the app.

From there, a quiz box will appear. You type a question at the top of the box, and then questions below it. You need to have at least two questions in order to create the quiz, but you can include up to four.

Once you have all your answers in, you’ll tap the “correct” one on the page. It lights up green when you do (just for you), so you know which one you’ve selected.

After that, you just publish things as normal. When your friends come across your post, they’ll be able to select their answer from your quiz. They’ll immediately see if they were correct and their answer will be sent to you so you can see how they did as well.
